Christine Jobson is a native of Miami, Florida. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Oakwood University and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Kentucky. She also studied at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria in the summer of 2008.
Christine Jobson, BS, MM currently serves as a music professor at Florida Memorial University.
There she provides individual instruction in voice. She has designed her course to expose her students to a variety of genres of music; such as classical, jazz, broadway, gospel, negro spirituals, and R&B to name a few.
Among her operatic roles, she lists Musetta in Puccini’s La Boheme, Célie in Thomas Pasatieri’s Signor Deluso, and Bess in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess.
As a concert singer who sings in 6 different languages, Ms. Jobson has been featured in Spain, Bermuda, Portugal, the Bahamas, and Austria. She has also been featured as the soprano section leader for the Delray Beach Chorale in Delray Beach, Florida and has been the featured as the soprano soloist for Hampton House Community Trust’s presentation of Handel’s Messiah.
She has been featured as a soloist all over the United States, the Caribbean and Europe. She served as a music teacher and director of the high school and junior high choirs at Miami Union Academy from 2011 to 2013 and also as an adjunct professor of voice at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida from 2011-2014.
Currently, Christine teaches in her private studio and performs widely.
Most recently, Christine wowed the audience at Mayor Smith Joseph's (The Mayor of the City of North Miami) mayoral induction ceremony & also at the Curtiss Mansion’s presentation of “A Night at the Opera” in Miami Springs, FL.
Possessing a brilliant, pristine voice, Christine J. continues to spread joy and hope through music.
